Which method is right for you?
| Method | Right for you if | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Card (Visa/Mastercard) | You want it fast and simple, and your card works for international payments | A valid card, its CVV and your bank's approval |
| P2P in your local currency | You'd rather pay by bank transfer or a local e-wallet | A payment method in your own name |
| Crypto deposit | You already hold crypto on another exchange or wallet | Your deposit address and the same network |
Method 1: Fund Binance with Visa or Mastercard
Binance accepts Visa and Mastercard (credit or debit), plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, and supports cards issued in more than 180 countries.
Step 1: Tap [Add Funds], then [Buy With]
Open the app and tap Add Funds, then Buy With. You can change your local currency from the menu at the top of the screen.
Step 2: Enter the amount and choose your card
Type in how much you want to spend, and the app shows how much crypto you'll get for it. Select Card (Visa/Mastercard) as your payment method.
Step 3: Add your card
First time? Choose Add New Card, enter your card details and tap Confirm. Expired cards aren't accepted; you can refresh yours with the Update button. You can link up to 5 cards.
Step 4: Enter your CVV and check the fees
Enter your CVV, then check the price and fees before you confirm. The price and amount may be recalculated automatically if the market moves.
Step 5: Approve the payment with your bank
If your bank asks for it, you'll be taken to its page to approve the payment (usually with a code sent by text). Once processing is complete, the crypto shows up in your Spot wallet shortly afterwards, and you can track the order under History.
Card declined?
- Make sure your card is enabled for international online purchases.
- Some banks block crypto transactions as a matter of policy; try a card from a different bank.
- You'll find the reason for the failure under Fiat History. Any amount that was taken comes back to your card, though it can take a few days to show up on your statement.
- Your daily purchase limit depends on your verification level. You can raise it under Account Center then Verification.
Method 2: Fund your account in local currency on P2P
With P2P, you buy USDT from another user and pay them directly with a local payment method: a bank transfer or an e-wallet. Binance holds the seller's crypto in escrow for the whole trade and only releases it once both sides have confirmed.
In short:
- Tap Add Funds on the home screen, then P2P Trading.
- Pick a seller, tap Buy, enter the amount, then tap Place Order.
- Pay the seller using the payment method shown.
- Only after you've paid, tap Transferred, notify seller.
- The seller releases the crypto, and you'll find it in your Funding wallet.

Method 3: Deposit crypto from another wallet or exchange
Step 1: Tap [Deposit] and choose the coin
Tap Deposit, then Deposit Crypto, and choose the coin, for example USDT.
Step 2: Choose the network carefully
Choose a network that the exchange or wallet you're sending from supports. Binance warns that choosing the wrong network can cost you your funds, with no way to recover them.
Step 3: Copy the address (and memo, if there is one)
Copy your deposit address, or save the QR code with Save and Share Address, then paste it into the exchange you're sending from. Some networks need a memo (Memo/Tag) as well as the address. Without it, your deposit may never be credited to your account.
Step 4: Choose your wallet and confirm
Under More Details, you can choose whether the funds go to your Spot wallet or your Funding wallet. Once the transfer is confirmed on the network, the funds are added to your account shortly afterwards; how long that takes depends on the network and how busy it is.
Spot wallet vs. Funding wallet: what's the difference?
- Spot wallet: for trading and buying and selling on the market. Card purchases land here.
- Funding wallet: for P2P trades. P2P purchases land here, and if you want to sell on P2P, you have to move your crypto here first.
You can transfer between the two wallets inside your account at any time.
Common problems and fixes
My deposit hasn't arrived after an hour
- Make sure the transfer has finished on the sending exchange (status "Completed").
- Timing depends on how busy the network is. Track it in your transaction history.
I sent on the wrong network, or without a memo
- Contact Binance support from inside the app right away, with your transaction ID (TxID) to hand. Recovery isn't guaranteed.
I can't find the Deposit button
- Your account probably isn't verified yet. Verify your account first.
My bank declines my card
- Use P2P in your local currency instead of a card.
