How to Create a Bybit Account, Step by Step

Before you start: can you use Bybit?

Bybit states plainly that restrictions depend on a user's nationality, not where they live. In practice:

• If you hold Syrian or Sudanese nationality, you can't use Bybit, even if you live in Europe or the Gulf. Use Binance instead.
• New users in the UAE are registered with Bybit's Abu Dhabi entity, and that entity doesn't accept Dubai residents.

How to create a Bybit account on your phone (6 steps)

Step 1: Download the app and tap Sign Up/Log In

Download the official Bybit app from Google Play or the App Store, open it and tap Sign Up/Log In.

Step 2: Choose your country of residence

Pick the country you actually live in. The app may send you to a regional site, or tell you the country isn't supported.

Step 3: Choose how to sign up

Email or phone number, or Google, Apple or Telegram. Each email address and each phone number can only be linked to one account.

Step 4: Fill in your details and tap Sign Up Now

You'll see an optional field. If you opened the sign-up page from the link on this page, it's already filled in, so leave it as it is and tap Sign Up Now.

Step 5: Verify

Complete the reCAPTCHA check, then enter the verification code sent to your email or phone.

Step 6: Add a passkey or a password

Tap Add Passkey to sign in with a passkey stored on your device, or Set Up Password Instead to create a password. (Passkeys need Bybit app version 4.47.0 or later.)

Common problems and fixes

I got a "Restricted country" message

• Bybit isn't available in your country or for your nationality. Don't use a VPN or false details: your real nationality will show up during verification, and your account could be frozen. Use an exchange that's available to you instead: see the countries page.

My email or phone number is already in use

• Each email and number can only hold one account. Log in to your existing account instead.

The code never arrives

• Check your spam folder and the country code, then request a new code.
