| Steps | 7 in the app, 5 on the website |

Before you start: 4 things to know
- Age: You must be at least 18. In Bahrain and the UAE, local law sets the minimum at 21 for signing up to Binance's local platforms there.
- Account type: You'll choose between a personal account and a business account. Choose carefully: Binance states clearly that the account type can't be changed after signup. If you're an individual, pick the personal account.
- ID comes later: You don't need an ID card to create the account itself, but you'll need it right afterwards for verification. Have your national ID card or passport ready.
- Your country: Binance isn't available in some countries. Check your country's page before you sign up.
Choose how you want to sign up
| Method | Best for |
|---|---|
| Most people: it's easy to recover, and every important notification goes there | |
| Phone number | You'd rather get your codes by text message |
| Google or Apple | Speed: one tap with an account you already have |
| Telegram | You use Telegram a lot and want it linked to your account |

What can you do before you verify?
Very little. According to Binance, unverified accounts are restricted. Verification is what unlocks:
- Deposits and withdrawals
- Unrestricted trading
- Fiat, Spot and Futures accounts
- Advanced features
So don't stop once your account is created: verify your account now. Depending on your country, you'll need a national ID card, passport or driver's license.
Secure your account from day one
Binance strongly recommends turning on at least one form of two-factor authentication (2FA). It takes two minutes once your account is set up:
- Turn on 2FA with an app like Google Authenticator, or set up a passkey.
- Turn on the anti-phishing code, so you can tell real Binance emails from fake ones.

Common problems and fixes
The verification code isn't arriving
- Check your spam folder.
- Make sure you typed your email or phone number correctly, with the right country code.
- Wait for the timer to run out, then request a new code. Remember, each code is only valid for 30 minutes.
My password is rejected
- Make sure it has at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter (A–Z) and at least one number.
My email is already registered
- That means you already have an account. Tap log in, and use "Forgot password" if you need to.
I picked a business account by mistake
- The account type can't be changed after signup. Contact Binance support from inside the app to find out what options you have.
My country isn't listed, or signup is rejected
- Binance may not be available in your country. Don't use a VPN or another country's details: it breaks Binance's terms and can get your account and funds frozen. Check which exchanges are available in your country.
