Spot trading or P2P?
- P2P: you buy USDT from another person with your local currency (pounds, riyals and so on). The guide
- Spot trading: you swap one crypto for another on the exchange, for example USDT → BTC.
So the natural order is: buy USDT on P2P, then trade it on the spot market. If you bought through P2P, move your USDT from your Funding wallet to your Spot wallet first.
Step by step in the app
1. Open spot trading
Trade → Spot.
2. Choose a pair
For example, BTC/USDT: you buy BTC and pay in USDT.
3. Choose Buy and an order type
Tap Buy, then choose:
- Market: buys instantly at the best available price. The final price may differ slightly from the one shown.
- Limit: you enter the price you want, and the order waits until the market gets there. It may not fill if the price moves quickly.
4. Enter the amount
Type in the amount, or use the percentage slider to pick a share of your balance (25%, 50% and so on).
5. Confirm
Tap Buy BTC. A market order fills instantly, while a limit order shows up under Open Orders until it fills or you cancel it.
Selling
Same steps, from the Sell tab: you sell BTC and receive USDT.
An easier alternative: Convert
If you just want to swap one coin for another without dealing with orders: Trade → Convert → choose the two coins → enter the amount → Preview Conversion → Convert. According to Binance, the price is based on market conditions, with no traditional trading fees.
Tips for beginners
- Start with a small amount until you understand how orders work.
- Check the order type before you tap; lots of people place a limit order by mistake and then wait for a fill that never comes.
- Keep an eye on [Open Orders] and cancel anything you no longer want.
- Turn on two-factor authentication before you trade.
