What is USDT, in short?

USDT is a stablecoin issued by Tether, and its value is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. That's why people use it to hold value in dollars, to move money across borders, and as their entry point into trading. The full explainer: What is USDT?

Method 1: Buy USDT on P2P (the most popular option in Arab countries)

1. Create an account and verify it. Create an account · Verification
2. Go to Add Funds → P2P Trading, then pick USDT and your local currency.
3. Filter by a payment method you actually have, and choose a seller.
4. Tap Buy, enter the amount, then Place Order, and pay the seller from an account in your own name.
5. Only after you've paid, tap Transferred, notify seller.
6. Your USDT lands in your Funding wallet.

Method 2: Buy USDT with a Visa card

Add Funds → Buy With → enter the amount → Card (Visa/Mastercard) → add your card → enter the CVV → check the fees → approve the payment with your bank. The crypto arrives in your Spot wallet.

Method 3: Convert another coin into USDT

If you already hold another cryptocurrency on Binance, go to Trade → Convert, pick the coin you have and USDT, enter the amount, then tap Preview Conversion → Convert. Binance says conversions carry no regular trading fees, and the rate depends on market conditions.

How to get a better price on USDT

• Compare the top three or four P2P ads. A small price gap adds up on a larger amount.
• P2P is usually cheaper than a card, since you skip bank fees and the bank's exchange rate.
• Use the exchange with the biggest P2P market in your currency. More ads means more price competition. Compare exchanges.
• Don't fall for a "super cheap" price outside the exchanges. It's almost always a scam.

Watch out: USDT offers outside the exchanges

• "USDT Flash" or "flash USDT": a fake balance that shows up in your wallet for a while and then disappears. Details.
• Offers to buy with Google Play, gift cards or PayPal outside an exchange: there's no protection, and most of them are scams. Only buy through P2P on a trusted exchange.
• "Pay me and I'll send it to you on WhatsApp": paying outside the order means you lose the exchange's protection.
