# How to Send USDT to Someone Else

> **Quick answer**
> If the other person has a Binance account, the easiest way is **Binance Pay**: tap the **Pay** icon at the top of the home screen → **Send** → enter their **email, phone number, Binance ID or Pay ID** → pick USDT and the amount → confirm with two-factor authentication. The transfer is **instant and has no network fee**, but it **can't be reversed** if you get the details wrong. If they're on another exchange or wallet, **withdraw to them on-chain** and make sure **the network matches** on both ends.
>
> **[Open Binance →]**

| | Binance Pay (to a Binance user) | On-chain withdrawal (to any wallet) |
|---|---|---|
| **What you need** | Their email, phone number or Binance ID | Their wallet address + the network |
| **Speed** | Instant | Depends on the network |
| **Network fee** | None | Yes, shown before you confirm |
| **Wrong-network risk** | None | Yes |
| **Requirement** | Both accounts verified | Your account verified |

## Method 1: Binance to Binance with Binance Pay

1. Open the app, tap the **Pay** icon at the top of the home screen, then tap **Send**.
2. Choose how to identify the recipient: **phone number**, **email**, **Binance ID** or **Pay ID**.
3. Select **USDT** and enter the amount.
4. Check the recipient's name and the amount, then confirm with two-factor authentication.

> ⚠️ **This transfer can't be reversed.** If you enter the wrong details, you won't be able to get the money back. Double-check the recipient before you confirm.

**Fees:** Binance says Binance Pay transfers carry **no transaction fee**, while another of its help pages mentions **a small fee only once you go past a high monthly transfer threshold**. For everyday amounts, the transfer is effectively free, and any fee shows up in the app before you confirm.

### On the website

**[Assets]** → **[Overview]** → **[Withdraw]** → pick USDT → **[Binance User]** → enter the email, phone number or Binance ID → **[Send]**.

## Method 2: To another wallet or exchange

1. Ask the person for their **USDT deposit address** and the **network** (TRC20, for example).
2. On Binance: **[Assets]** → **[Overview]** → **[Send]** → **[Withdraw Assets]**.
3. Paste the address, choose **the same network**, and enter the amount.
4. Check the network fee, then confirm with two-factor authentication.

> ⚠️ **The network must be the same on both ends.** Picking the wrong network can cost you the funds. And the first time you send to a new address, **send a small test amount first**. [USDT networks explained](https://exchangesteps.com/usdt-networks)

## Sending money to family in another country

This is how a lot of expats do it: you send USDT to your family's Binance account with **Binance Pay**, and they sell it for their local currency on P2P. Make sure Binance is available in their country first: [Countries page](https://exchangesteps.com/countries).
