# How to Deposit on OKX

> There are two ways to deposit on OKX. **(1) Deposit crypto** from another wallet or exchange: tap **Deposit crypto** on the home screen (or go to **Assets → Deposit → Deposit crypto**), pick the coin and network, copy the address, and send from the other side on **the same network**. Or **(2) buy with your local currency on OKX P2P**. **Deposits are only available to verified accounts.**

## Method 1: Deposit crypto

### Step 1: Open the deposit screen

On the home screen, tap **Deposit crypto**, or go to **Assets** → **Deposit** → **Deposit crypto**.

### Step 2: Choose the coin and network

Pick the coin (USDT, for example), then choose the network. OKX warns that **the network must be the same on both platforms.**

### Step 3: Copy the address (and the tag, if there is one)

Copy the address, or scan the QR code from the sending platform. Some coins, such as **XRP**, need a **tag/memo** along with the address. **Without it, you could lose your funds.**

### Step 4: Send from the other side

On the sending platform, paste the address, choose **the same network** and send. First time? Try a small amount first.

## Method 2: Buy with your local currency on P2P
