# How to Buy USDT on Bybit P2P

## Steps

### 1. Open P2P

On the website: **Buy Crypto** → **P2P Trading**. In the app: the **P2P Trading** section.

### 2. Filter the ads

Choose the coin (USDT), the amount, your local currency and your payment method.

### 3. Pick an ad and enter the amount

Enter the amount in your currency or in USDT. Some advertisers ask for **extra verification**, such as a photo of your ID or proof of payment.

### 4. Pay before the timer runs out

Once the advertiser accepts your order, you're taken to the order page with a **timer**. Pay the seller using the details shown in the order, **from an account in your own name**.

### 5. Tap Payment Completed

Once you've actually paid, tap **Payment Completed** to let the seller know.

### 6. Receive your crypto

After the seller releases it, the crypto appears in your **Funding Account**.

> ⚠️ **Bybit's rule:** if the name on your bank account **doesn't match** the name registered on your Bybit account, **your account may be suspended**.

## About fees

Bybit's own pages disagree. The older FAQ says P2P is fee-free, while the updated selling guide (September 2026) says **fees may be charged to both sides, depending on the currency, the advertiser's level and the type of ad**. Check the order details before you confirm.

## P2P Express

Available in the app only: go to **P2P Trading** → the **P2P Express** tab, enter the amount, and the system matches you with an ad.

## Protect yourself

- Pay from an account **in your own name**, and only to the details shown in the order.
- Don't tap **Payment Completed** until you've actually paid.
